Profile: Eddie Hall's Aircooled Wide Body Porsche 911 Pink Pig Tribute

 In the video below, we feature Eddie Hall and his amazing tribute to the Porsche 917/20 car in "Pink Pig" livery that ran at Le Mans in 1971. Porsche also ran the Pink Pig livery on the Le Mans winning 911 RSR! Eddie's car is a wide body, air-cooled Porsche 911 SC. Do you know the story of Bertha, the Truffle Hunter?

Porsche's 917/20 Pink Pig (also known as Truffle Hunter) is famous for its unique butchery inspired livery. This racing 917 competed at Le Man's in 1971 as Porsche was still working out the kinks of the eventually unbeatable 917 series of racing Porsche's. 

More recently, Porsche revived the distinctive Pink Pig livery for the 2018 911 RSR which won its LMGTE class at Le Mans. These are both amazing cars with amazing places in Porsche racing history.

While the 'Pink Pig' may not be as attractive to some as the classic Gulf or Martini Porsche liveries of the past, Hall thought it was cool enough to build an amazing wide-body air-cooled 911 tribute car based on the infamous 911SC.

To create the car, Hall worked with a designer to re-create the Pink Pig livery, with a bloody twist... see below for the video on how this all came to be!
